Introduction....

Picture
I am a nine year old windsurfer. I ride for Team QSW, one of England's biggest and best teams. I am so proud and excited to be part of the team. We aim to get more people to enjoy our sport.

In 2013 I will compete in the UKWA Inland National series and the Junior section of the British Slalom Association National Series. The results can be seen here.

2012 was a great year, I started the season on a 2.5m sail and now I sail a North Warp 5.2m. I have raced in Team 15 events and National Championships, I had some great results, with my  first race wins, these can be seen
here.

In 2013 I will be fine tuning my kit and looking to improve my sailing technique and fitness. I have changed my rig to North Natural sails, North Platinum mast and a North gold boom.  This change has made a great improvement in my sailing and allowed me to regularly sail with a 5.8m sail.

I hope to change my board later in the season and I am currently testing various options including the Fanatic range. I have also signed up for coaching with the Baker Academy run by professional windsurfer Ant Baker, who has any years of PWA experience. I am really enjoying the technical aspect of sailing, trying to carve gybe and train most weekends.

A big thank you to Team QSW, Quayside Windsurfers, Bailey of Bristol for having faith in me and their support. Also thanks to mum and dad for taking me to all my training and competitions, without them I couldn't follow my dreams.

How it started.....

Picture
I started windsurfing
in Lemnos on holiday with mum and dad when I was 7, that was 2 years ago now. Since then I have trained regularly at Team 15 sessions at  Grafham Water Centre and Alton Water. I first raced when I was eight using a 2.0m sail. I didn't do very well, but, I got the bug and loved racing.

My Goals ....

Slalom racing is high speed and very
exciting.
Since attending the BSA Slalom events this year I have decided to practise and progress my slalom sailing with the goal to compete in the Amatuer BSA fleet in 2014 and eventually the PWA Slalom world tour.
